Special responsibilities:
Bart Pycke is Managing Director at Mercuria, a global energy trading group based in Geneva. In this function, he is responsible to set up a natural gas, emissions, coal and electricity trading desk.

Professional experience:
Prior to joining Mercuria in 2007, Mr. Pycke was Head of Trading at Electrabel where he worked for more than 10 years. At Electrabel. he was instrumental in the implementation of systems for price discovery, trade execution and risk management. He was involved in the launch of new products like TTF and PEG gas, Central European power and CO2 certificates as well as new procedures for credit risk management like clearing and bilateral margining.
Prior to joining Electrabel in 1997, Mr. Pycke was working as a Research Associate at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
