Dr. Jan Haizmann is the Chairman of EFETnet's Supervisory Board.
The Supervisory Board supervises the EFET management within the powers given by the articles of EFETnet, and Dutch statutory law. It is the role of the Supervisory Board to ensure that EFETnet is run as a sound non-profit organization to the benefit of the energy industry.
Dr. Haizmann is a trained German lawyer graduating in Germany, UK and Belgium. After having spent a couple of years with a law firm, specializing on European competition law and industry regulation, Dr. Haizmann worked as Director of regulatory affairs for a large wholesale energy trader. During 2002 and 2003 Dr. Haizmann gained commercial experience as head of gas origination. Since January 2005, Dr. Haizmann has been an independent consultant to the energy trading industry, based Brussels. Dr. Haizmann is managing the legal committee of European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET).
